Throughout Mesoamerica the Hummingbird has been associated with the arrival of the rainy season, transformation and brave warrior spirit. Brandon Phillips' zesty feathered friend has been carved from upcycled surfite, a resin material from surfboard manufacturing. The most appealing ruby red, lavender, forest green and blue hues live in this approximately 2 1/2" tall, 5/8" wide and 1 1/2" deep bird. Eyes are from turquoise inlays while a pointy beak is from surfite.
