Kateri Quandelacy Sanchez is well-known for carving wonderful Corn-Maidens. In fact her late aunt Faye Quandelacy was the first to carve Corn Maidens in small, table top form in the early 1980's spawning a family tradition. Kateri sculpted her first Corn Maiden when she was about 10 years old. Her latest offering is a petite Corn Maiden from happy turquoise adorned with etched stars, a Dragonfly and a bright red coral cabochon. Facial features are etched then filled with jet paste. About 1 1/4" tall, 1 1/8" wide and 5/8" deep.
