Salvador Romero found this remarkable stone with fossils while
walking the Cochiti land. In his hands the stone became a
Horse which then ended up joining Robin’s rather large herd of Sal horses. In Robin's view Sal gets his horses right; not so much in the details, but in feeling of the carving. Many horse fetishes are just awkward or feel wrong. This little horse is sweet and interesting and has been much loved and sometimes carried. It feels good in the hand. Horse medicine reminds us of the power available to us. Not the power of control but rather the positive energy that comes with cooperation with others. Perfect for these times. This sweet horse measures 3 1/4" long, (so not so little) and 1 5/8" tall at the withers.
