When he was employed at Wright’s Indian Art Gallery in Albuquerque, New Mexico, artist Abraham Peina's mentor was renowned Diné jeweler Alvin Vandever whose pieces were sold there. Inspired by his creative guide, Abraham's dream is to create wearable sculptural pieces from silver and carved stones. We think he's well on his way with a sterling silver, turquoise and 14K gold pendant flavored with a contemporary sculptural quality.
The gorgeous turquoise stone is complimented by an eye-catching overlay. The first piece of silver was hand-cut to create the abstracted design. The reticulated silver part was united with the first piece to create the stunning pendant. Including the unique double ring bales, dimensions are about 3 1/8" long, 2" wide and 3/8" deep. Signed by the artist.
