Hunting Six Directional Set of Zuni Sandstone

A wonderful collection of animals makes up Todd Westika's representation of a hunting set of six directions. The Zunis acknowledge six directions and assign a color and animal to each; this set being unique as it is a hunting set with all the animals carved from Zuni Pueblo sandstone. They are are distinguished by the color of their offering bundles. White Wolf of the East is 3 1/8" long, with a carved white mother-of-pearl point offering bundle. Yellow Mountain Lion of the North is 3 1/4" long, with a gold lip shell point offering bundle. Many colored Eagle of the Heavens measures 3 1/4" long, and has a colorful cuprite point offering bundle. Red Bobcat of the South is 2 3/4" long and has an orange-red spiny oyster shell point offering bundle. Black Mole of the Earth is about 2 5/8" long, with a black lip shell point offering bundle. Blue Coyote of the West is 2 3/4" long and 1 1/8" tall, with a blue turquoise point offering bundle. Each animal has eyes of inlaid blue turquoise. A gorgeous grouping to always keep close by for strength and determination!
