Bison are powerful and resilient animals sacred to Indigenous cultures. The Plains tribes whose main sustenance once depended on the vast herds used the entire bison body, nothing was wasted. Prayers of appreciation were offered for the abundance they provided. Bison teach us to be grateful for the bounty in our lives. Carved from watermelon serpentine, Clive Hustito's turquoise-eyed buffalo has a mighty presence at about 4" long, 1 3/8" wide and 3 3/8" tall. His initial are lightly etched on the hip region.
