Winter's plunging nighttime temperatures require a great turquoise-eyed rattlesnake
to seek an underground shelter. Creatively carved from Picasso marble by Paulette and Farlan Quam, this engaging reptile measures about 5" long, 2" wide and 3/4" tall. Nice cross-hatching reveals scales and a slightly lifted rattle warns other to please keep away. A lovely offering bundle is secured with rich pen shell heishe, bright red coral and turquoise beads. The carvers did this to thank these important reptiles for all they do in nature. Snakes are both predator and prey, providing a necessary balance to a healthy environment.
