A horned Lizard
(or horned toad lizard) of Picasso marble by Vern Paywa has a piece of red yarn gently tied around its neck, a custom practiced in real-life at Zuni Pueblo. It is a gesture of friendship with this highly-regarded lizard. Horned lizards are associated with Warrior Medicine and with the Medicine Society of The Red Ant in Zuni. Interestingly, red ants are a primary food source for these fascinating lizards. Turquoise inlaid eyes and some cross-hatching complete this approximate 2" long, 1" wide and 3/4" tall fetish.
