Bear cubs are snug and warm in Maxx Laate's extraordinarily carved turquoise and sterling silver ring. He is a master fetish carver but also a wonderful jeweler. His folks Gretchen and Bennie Laate (d), and his sister Margie Kaamasee are jewelers. So was his brother, jeweler and carver Pernell Laate (d). The bear's have sweet eyes from inlaid jet. Including the lovely silver floral border, this station measures approximately 1 3/8" by 1". This signed by the artist ring is a size 5 3/4.
