Tusker Elephant

An endangered tusker elephant is a male pachyderm with enormous tusks that grow throughout its life span of about 60 to 70 years. Magnificent elephants not only use their tusks as a main defense system, but also to gather nourishment and protect their trunks. Bryston Bowannie's wonderful tusker elephant has been carved from leopard marble and inlaid with amazing tusks from shell. They each measure about 1 1/4" long. Tiny eyes are from turquoise inlays. Overall dimensions are about 2 1/2" long, 3" wide and 1 3/4" tall.
