An early fall Cochiti Pueblo morning finds Salvador Romero's Horse
(or pony) looking forward to a trot on the open fields as the sun slowly rises. Salvador is an intuitive artist, seeing an animal in the stone before he even carves it. Taking long walks on his homelands, he searches for just the right stone to bring about his animal creations. Each side of this found stone presents fascinating textures, little grooves and natural colorations. About 4 1/2" long, 3/4" wide and 2 5/8" tall.
