A dynamically posed Mountain-lion (cougar, panther or puma) has been brought to life from a spectacular Sonoran Sunrise cuprite abundant in stunning red and rich black hues. Mined commercially since 2006 at the Milpillas Copper Mine located near the town of Santa Cruz, Sonora, Mexico, Sonoran Sunrise's name is inspired from the colorful sunrises there. It is an ore of copper. Crouching low to the ground, Loren Tsalabutie's approximately 7 1/2" long, 2" wide and 2" tall nicely-sized feline approaches prey unnoticed before launching. Tiny eyes from turquoise are set to a discerning face. A complimenting point carved from fossilized mammoth tooth with coral and turquoise beads compose the offering bundle giving thanks for the supreme hunter, mountain lion.
