Spine-Tingling Stringray

By Benina Kallestewa

Animal: Stringray, Material: Serpentine
This offering is sold.

A stingray's coloration often reflects the ocean floor's natural shade, helping it to camouflage from predators. These amazing fish hover there too, searching and excavating for food. By this feeding activity, they help create micro-habitats for small invertebrate animals. Benina Kallestewa's awesome stingray has been carved from a rich serpentine and given cultured opal eyes. It appears cloaked in a seabed. About 3" long, 2" wide and 3/4" tall.
