This elegant and mysterious Owl
is carved from an orthoceras fossil by Kateri Quandelacy-Sanchez. Orthoceras was an ancient mollusk that lived more than 400 million years ago.
Its long graceful wings have been beautifully carved an meticulously incised for feather detail while its expressive eyes are inlaid with gold lip mother of pearl shell and jet. This extraordinary raptor measures about 6 1/8" long, 2" tall, and almost 1" deep.
