Peter Sohappy's latest offering is this gorgeously carved Rio Grande basalt golden Eagle that "Lives In the Cliffs", about 6 1/4" long, 1 3/4" deep, and 7 1/8" tall. We love the simplicity of this carving, and the wonderfully incised markings by Peter on the underside of this raptor. This found basalt stone from the Rio Grande valley, has two naturally surfaced sides, one is somewhat smooth and almost a brownish hue, while the other is more textured and dark.
A portion of the proceeds from the sale of this eagle fetish will go to the Zuni Eagle Sanctuary. Please see our resources page for more information on the sanctuary.
