Vickie Quandelacy's latest offering is this gorgeous, two sided black lip mother-of-pearl carving. One side depicts an olla maiden with her olla jar spilling over with water, represented by crushed lapis. She's embellished with red coral, turquoise and pen shell accents, plus a feather element. The other side shows a lovely corn maiden wearing a necklace of both green and blue turquoises, accented with a piece of lapis. Her shawl is covered with Dragonfly
and red coral bits. Including the marble composite base, this work is about 4 1/2" tall and 2 3/8" long, slightly convex.
