Sandra Quandelacy's reversible turquoise fetish measures about 3 1/4" tall, 1" wide and 3/4" deep. Both sides depict Mother the life-giver and her children gathered close. Faces are overlaid from either phosphosiderite, gold lip shell and shell, etched and filled with jet paste. Arrow and star elements are incised and darkened as well. Coral inlays accent their traditional attire. A carved feathered headdress is worn by each dedicated Mother.
