Carved of a naturally curvaceous spiny oyster shell specimen is this reversible Corn-maiden by Gloria Chattin. Their facial features are incised and darkened with jet paste, and growing Corn stalks are etched. Many incised Dragonfly friends are present. Her incised corn kernel body is overlaid with red coral, lapis and turquoise circular accents.
These lovely corn maidens are presented on a base of crushed lapis with an onyx point. About 3 1/2" tall, 2 1/8" wide and 1" deep.
