Raven Fledgling

By Bryston Bowannie

Animal: Raven, Material: Sodalite
This offering is sold.
A baby Raven (or crow) talks of fledging as finely incised wings and flight feathers need a try out. Raven chicks generally fly for short distances at about seven weeks of age. Bryston Bowannie carved this turquoise-eyed chick from reassuring sodalite. Even the underside of its tail feathers are detailed. Approximately 2 1/2" long, 3/4" wide and 1" tall.
