Protective Corn Maiden & Pueblo

By Latoya Aisetewa

Animal: Corn Maiden, Material: Alabaster
This offering is sold.
Safeguarding her pueblo home, a Corn Maiden is carved from alabaster by Latoya Aisetewa, Zuni carver Daisy Rose Leonard's niece. We're happy to welcome her to Keshi's webiste. Latoya etched little Corn kernels and inlaid turquoise pieces into this protective corn maiden with incised facial features and a turquoise mouth. The pipestone pueblo has little carved details and together, they measure about 2 5/8" tall, 1 1/2" wide and 1" deep.
