A gorgeous collection of animals, making up Stewart Quandelacy's set representing the
six directions that Zuni Pueblo people recognize. A protective animal and corresponding colors are assigned to each direction. The
Wolf is 2 1/2" long, carved from marble. The leopard jasper
Mountain Lion is 2 1/2" long. This
Eagle is of a pink leopard jasper and measures 3" long. The
Badger is 2 1/2" long and is carved from a red jasper. The jet
Mole is 2 3/4" long. The turquoise
Bear is the smallest at 2" long. Almost all the animals have eyes of inlaid turquoise with the exception of the bear whose eyes are of inlaid jet. The offering bundles are colorful and well-arranged with attractive materials like lapis, cuprite, red coral, gold lip shell, mother of pearl shell, and spiny oyster shell. This outstanding set will brighten and bring a calming serenity to any space!
