Bear is regarded as strong and healing in the Zuni way. Bears are the most prevalent subject of fetish carvings. By honoring and acknowledging a bear’s natural traits such as strength, journeying, protection, mothering, hunting and gathering, we can awaken similar attributes within ourselves. Positive vibes come from Christopher Sandoval's standing bear carved from lovely leopard marble. Eyes are alert and set with turquoise. About 2 3/8" tall, 1 1/4" wide and 1 3/4" deep.
