This offering is sold.

A recent high-school graduate, Zuni Pueblo potter Liam Simplicio's set of three extraordinary pottery nesting Owls is titled "The Matriarch" and is "the first nesting owl he ever made" according to his father artist Dan Simplicio. This set is all beautifully hand-coiled and hand-painted, with natural clay and mineral paints. Liam bestowed unique designs on each feathered friend, such as expressive eyes and lovely painted facial and feather markings. The mother owl has rain birds strategically painted around her eyes. Their beaks are wonderful too.

The largest mother owl is about 4 1/2" tall, 5" wide and 5" deep. The medium owl is about 2 3/4" tall, 3 1/2" wide and 3" deep. The small owl is approximately 1" tall, 1 1/2" wide and 1 1/4" deep. Signed by the artist. Extra shipping charges may apply. Five separate pieces in all.
