Herbert Halate's observant bushytail (Coyote, Fox or Wolf) is carved from a pipestone which is actually fossilized clay. A vibrant turquoise point offering bundle is given in thanks for wild canine medicine and is complemented by inlaid eyes of the same turquoise. About 3" long, 3/4" wide and 7/8" tall. Herbert's father was noted artist Leonard Halate who started producing stone animal carvings in the 1940's. Herbert and his siblings, Reva Halate, Marvelita Phillips and Pansy Natachu, continue the tradition.
