Chris Gchachu's Bear is carved from a tagua nut otherwise known as "vegetable ivory". This hard little nut gives the bear carving a wonderful roly-poly shape. Chris left the darker outer layer of the nut in-tacked to hint at the dark fur of the bear. It also gives the bear his inquisitive eyebrows. Tiny stones of turquoise were inlaid for eyes. The center piece of the offering bundle is an iridescent piece of abalone shell shaped into an arrow point. This bear is about 2" long by 1 5/8" tall.
