This offering is sold.

Jaycee Nahohai's parents are renowned potters Randy Nahohai (d) and Rowena Him. He's the eldest of their four sons, growing up at Zuni totally submersed in traditional pottery making. In high school, he studied pottery with Zuni teacher Gabriel Paloma. Later he attended Arizona State University's New College of Interdisciplinary Arts and Sciences in Tempe. In 2005, he won a Heard Museum blue ribbon for his pottery. In 2013 Jaycee travelled to Japan to meet master potters in Shigarki.

Natural clay and mineral pigments unify in Jaycee's approximate 3" long and 2" wide pendant that celebrates his Zuni artistry and traditions. Soft lines and spattered paints blend harmoniously in this pendant that's suspended from a length of black cord with a lone clay bead. Signed by the artist.
