Natural Branch Red Coral Praying Mantis

Did you know a praying mantis is named after the unique way they hold their front legs up and together, as though praying? The Greek the word “mantis” means prophet or fortune teller. We're awe struck with Maxx Laate's praying mantis with turquoise inlaid eyes. It is carved from one incredible piece of natural branch red coral. This gorgeous insect holds its front legs wide open. It's presented attached to a hand-fabricated sterling silver base. About 2 1/2" long, 1" wide and 2 1/2" tall.
