Maxx Laate comes from the greater Laate family of carvers. Together with his brother Pernell Laate (d), they began carving in the mid-1980s. At that time they made their own tools but later used electric equipment, as many carvers do today.
Maxx's artistic hands created this fantastic bushytail (Fox, Wolf or Coyote) out of a segment of natural branch red coral. We love the organic growth striations seen in this coral specimen. This turquoise-eyed canine is about 1" long, 3/8" wide and 3/8" tall.
