Rickson Kallestewa is recognized for his off-beat and unique carving style. He has carved this engaging Mountain-lion
from raspberry alabaster with alternating stripes of semi-translucent grays and whites. Between its front paws it clutches an offering bowl that is decorated with an incised flute player. The eyes are inlaid jet, on its back is a tiny point offering. The mouth, nostrils, and claws are incised and darkened with jet paste. About 2 3/4" long, 2" tall, and 5/8" wide.
