Mother Sea Otter & Pup

A dedicated mother sea otter sees to it that her pup is well-taught to hunt for abalone. Each water creature is expressive in personality conveyed through turquoise inlaid eyes. Etched details in the rich marble showcase furry bodies. Incised paw pads are a sweet touch. They each hold a miniature cherished abalone shell in their forepaws, which in nature are very agile. They can rub, twist and pull with a great amount of strength. The forepaws have retractable claws too. The palms have tough pads that assist with gripping. Together they measure about 3 1/4" long, 1" wide and 1 1/2" tall.
