Owl of turns its head in observation, waiting for a midnight snack to scurry across the forest floor. Wonderfully carved of jet, the owl sits perched on a base and measures about 2 3/4" tall, 2 1/2" long by 2" deep with turquoise inlaid eyes. Nelson achieved amazing feather detail and texture with small grooves carved into the surface of the jet.
