A clandestine meeting of
Owl mates is captured in a beautiful single serpentine stone carving. Owls, who are usually monogamous mates, are called the "Night Grandfather" in Zuni Pueblo because they are most active at night and are thought to watch over us through darkness with their keen vision. Carved by Melvin Sandoval this fantastic pair measure about 1 3/4" long, 1 3/8" wide by 1 3/4" tall and include quite a bit of hematite which gives the piece a wonderful gravity in hand.
