Kateri Quandelacy Sanchez's
Corn-Maiden (or Maiden Grandmother) is sculpted from serpentine. Hair is traditionally whorled and facial features are etched into iridescent gold lip shell. An angel skin pink coral accents the
corn body, while incised stars adorn the shawl. As a young girl, Kateri's first carving was a Corn Maiden. About 1 5/8" tall, 1 1/8" wide and 3/8" deep.
