The support is mutual in this reversible carving by Sandra Quandelacy which has a Corn Maiden
on one side and a Grandmother on the other. Carved from turquoise, the maiden is
embellished with tiny turquoise, lapis and coral pieces. The Grandmother
wears a necklace of inlaid lapis. Her shawl is decorated with incised stars and Dragonflies
. These details as well as the facial features are inlaid with crushed jet paste. This carving measures about 2" tall, 1 1/4" wide by 7/8" deep.
