Precious turquoise has been carved into a diligent Beaver
by Evalena Boone who comes from the important Teddy Weahkee (d) family of Zuni Pueblo artists. Evalena's mother is Lena Boone, and her grandmother was Edna Leki (d). A spiny oyster shell point paired with a tiny pink mussel shell bead form the offering bundle attached in gratitude for a beaver's hardworking spirit. Sweet eyes are from inlaid coral. About 2 3/8" long, 3/4" wide and 5/8" tall.
