By James Panteah

Animal: Corn Maiden, Material: Orthoceras
View Cart
Corn Maiden is honored because as taught in Zuni Pueblo traditional ways, Corn Maidens saved the People by nourishing them with corn from their bodies. Facial features are etched and a cultured opal inlay is representative of a voice of wisdom. Incised areas of Corn kernels adorn the orthoceras specimen. About 2 1/4" tall, 1 1/2" wide and 3/4" deep, by James Panteah.
