Mighty Elk are woven into ancient oral histories and stories of Indigenous tribes like the Shawnee and Cree who consider elk as relatives who teach endurance, strength and patience. We can help the elk by keeping land as sustainably managed forest. Salvador Romero's elk is carved from found stone to a size of approximately 5" long, 5/8" wide and 3" tall. He sees and feels the animal's spirit in the stone before he even carves it.
