Giving thanks for autumn's bountiful crops, a curved iridescent black lip shell has been carved into a glorious Harvest Grandmother by Kateri Quandelacy Sanchez. A traditional headdress called a tablita is designed with
Dragonflies and a growing
corn motif. A beautiful shawl is etched with fringe detail that seems to sway back and forth. It is incised with stars and inlaid with bright red coral pieces. An overlaid face is from gold lip shell with features filled with jet paste. About 3 1/2" tall, 2 5/8" wide and 3/4" deep.
