Florentino Martinez's stunning serpentine carving, about 6 1/2" tall and 2 5/8" long, depicts a harvest corn maiden emerging from her pueblo home, along side
Bear and
Eagle. She wears a tablita headdress incised with a
Dragonfly. Her body is carved with plump
Corn kernels and her stalks are incised in a realistic, flowing manner. Eagle has gorgeous, outstretched wings, while the pueblo has many tiny windows and a small corn maiden hidden within. This not to be missed carving won a ribbon at the Zuni Pueblo Main Street Festival in May 2016. Extra shipping charges may apply.
