A terrific Mountain Lion, sleek and stealth, watches from atop the mesa, her presence felt rather than seen. Smartly carved by Burt Awelagte, he used the amazing Royston turquoise to its best advantage, leaving most of the stone shaped but minimally cut. The resulting piece gives the powerful feeling of the elusive mountain lion while bringing focus to the incredible dark brown inclusion veins that criss cross the surface as well as a small thread of blue turquoise that drapes over the shoulders, like a natural heartline. The lion measures about 3 3/4" long, 1/2" tall by 1 3/4" wide.
