Lynn Quam's Bison
is a beauty, carved of a gorgeous specimen of septarian nodule with a large portion of the carving consisting of crystalized calcite. This bovine has inlaid eyes of bright blue turquoise, while its horns are made of a greener variety of turquoise. Often geologist interchange the word "concretion" in place of nodule. A word that in Latin carries the meaning "grow together". The term refers to the development of the septarian stone but in combination with this special carving can be a wonderful reminder of our ability to grow together by supporting one another and sharing in our abundance, whatever form that it may take. The bison measures about about 3 31/4" long by 1 1/4" wide and stands at 2" tall.
