Oh my goodness this is such a delightful pair of Frogs
by Justin Natewa. They are nestled in crushed turquoise to represent water on top of a carved sandstone leaf. Each water creature has adorable eyes from jet paste in gold lip shell. One amphibian is carved from pretty dolomite and the other is from a lovely speckled serpentine. All together, measurements are about 3 3/4" long, 1 3/4" wide and 1 1/4" tall. At Zuni Pueblo, frogs are considered a major rain-bringing fetish associated with abundance, fertility and cleansing.
