A desert varnish is a natural incrustation or textural layer formed from microscopic organisms and cemented clay particles found on many stones and boulders throughout the great Southwest. It beautifully coats Salvador Romero's Horse
pairing with a layer of loveliness on the found stone. It's always a pleasure to see his residual carving marks too, they're satisfyingly gorgeous. About 4 3/4" long, 1 1/8" wide and 2 1/2" tall.
