Despite being a mammal, extraordinary platypuses lay eggs making them a monotreme. They are found in eastern Australia. Platypuses are one of several monotreme species left in existence, such as echidnas. Loren Tsalabutie's lively amphibious platypus balances on a hearty tail. An open bill and eyes from red coral express joy. The chrysocolla specimen is exceptionally bright and colorful. A removable offering necklace is laced with branch red coral, snail shell and vibrant lapis lazuli beads. About 3 3/8" tall, 2" wide and 2 1/2" deep.
