Lorandina Sheche is a wonderful elder from Zuni Pueblo. Her grandfather was Theodore Kucate (d) possibly the earliest recognized carver from Zuni. His fetishes had a friendliness to them. Lorandina's son is carver Aaron Chapella.
We're intrigued by Lorandina's turquoise-eyed and charming serpentine Frog that hops in at about 2 1/4" long, 1 1/4" wide and 1 1/4" tall. This sweet amphibian with lightly drilled nostrils, totes an abalone point, turquoise and natural branch red coral offering bundle.
