In 2018 gold miners found pinolith in the Canadian mountains. It consists of magnesite, dolomite and graphite forming a striking pattern. It gets its name from the pine cone-like patterns formed by the slow cooling of the three minerals ages ago. Brian Yatsattie's glorious Owl perches in focused observation through jet inlaid eyes. The gorgeous formations within the Canadian pinolith look like wonderful feathers on this approximately 3 5/8" long, 1" wide and 2 1/4" tall awesome raptor.
