Buffalo Wings

By Robert Michael Weahkee

Animal: Bison, Material: Antler
This offering is sold.

Robert Michael Weahkee is a fourth-generation carver from Zuni Pueblo. His late grandmother was renowed artist Edna Leki. Robert's whimsical Bison has sprouted wondrous wings. It is carved from one piece of burnished antler, his favorite medium. Horns are from iridescent black lip shell and eyes are from inlaid turquoise. An amusing work that gives new meaning to "buffalo wings". Dimensions are approximately 4" long, 1 1/4" wide and 3 5/8" tall.
