This offering is sold.

Lynn Quam descends from the late Johnny Quam and Westika family of Zuni artists. His siblings include the late carvers Rhoda Quam and Pernell Gasper, as well as jeweler Nancy Westika. Their mother was noted jeweler Annie Gasper Quam who also learned to make fetishes from her father Johnny Quam. Lynn is famous the world over for his extraordinary Bison (or buffalo) fetishes. They're gorgeously sculpted and a remembrance of a bison's abundant contribution and a gentle reminder to be thankful for this. From leopard marble, this specimen is especially bold and sets off the turquoise horns and eyes in a dramatic way. About 3" long, 1" wide and 2" tall.
