Mountain-lion (cougar, puma or panther) is considered the elder brother to all the other protective and hunting animals. It is a great leader who sets the right example. Stealthy in nature, a mountain lion carving is brought along for success in the hunt. The name for mountain lion in Zuni, Hokdidasha translates to "long tail".
