Bear (or
Medicine-bear) is carved from an ammonite, which is the fossilized chambered shell of a cephalopod mollusk from prehistory. They lived in waters from the Devonian to the Cretaceous periods. Engaged eyes and a handsome heartline from turquoise are skillfully set to the fossiliferous marble. About 1 7/8" long, 1/2" wide and 1 1/2" tall.
